At Mojo Living Projects, we believe that sustainability first starts with human behaviour and world view. Psychology has a strong role to play in managing environmental concerns and sustainable practices. These include how to engage the community into sustainable practices, how to change behaviour, worldview's influence in sustainability, the relationship between environment and mental health, resistance and motivation to change, and what type of information will translate into action to improve the environment and engage in sustainable practices. Psychology can also help manage climate grief through counselling and use the environment through eco psychology to improve mental health.
My thesis about information and acting on sustainable practices found that worldview and our attitude can get in the way of changing behaviour and people need to understand their role towards the environmental crisis before change can happen.
Sustainable and environment practices in homes can improve mental health and each person's ecological footprint. Therefore, Mojo Living Projects look forward to sharing how psychology can improve the environment and sustainable practices and hope you enjoy the process and much as we do.
